Dennis Kersten has been assisting individuals for more than 40 years to help manage their assets and invest wisely. Dennis specializes in advising retirees and those about to retire, developing strategies designed to help preserve their principal and ensure adequate income throughout retirement. His practice focuses on helping pre-retirees and retirees avoid some of the most common financial mistakes.
Dennis has lectured on financial topics at Bowling Green State University and University of Toledo. His retirement presentations have been widely attended by retirees of Owens Illinois, Owens Corning, BP, Andersons, Dana, Sunoco and First Solar. He has used his financial experience to benefit not only thousands of Northwest Ohio retirees, but also the community, as member and President of the Oak Harbor board of education for 12 years. Dennis is also co-host of a weekly radio show called Money Sense which airs every Saturday from 7:00-8:00 AM on News Talk 1370, WSPD.
He holds his Series 6, 7, 22, 24 and 63 securities registrations with LPL Financial, and has his life insurance and annuity licenses. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Education from Bowling Green State University.
Dennis is a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where he has served as president of the church council.
Dennis and his wife Ann have four children and are lifelong residents of the Toledo area. Two of his children, Brad and Kevin, are experienced financial advisors, partnering with Dennis to develop enduring strategies for clients seeking lifelong financial independence.
